Zoom with Vincent Simeone, author and director at Planting Fields Arboretum in New York. Lecture focus: how to make your garden safe and enjoyable your pets and you; using safe, durable surfaces and materials, reducing landscape wear and tear, avoiding toxic plants, using containers effectively and growing fruits, vegetables and herbs that can be used as edible treats for your pets. Simeone has worked in horticultural for over 30 years. With a BS in Ornamental Horticulture from University of Georgia, he studied under Drs. Michael Dirr and Allan Armitage. He specializes in woody plants and lectures nationwide. For 26 years, Vincent has been Director of Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park in New York. He has published five books: Grow More With Less: Sustainable Garden Methods, Great Flowering Landscape Shrubs, Great Flowering Landscape Trees, The Wonders of the Winter Landscape, and Great Landscape Evergreens. His latest book, Sustainable Gardening: Grow a Greener Low-Maintenance Landscape with Fewer Resources was published in March 2021. Fee. Registration required.
